I've noticed a lot of people still saying hunts are Square Enix "welfare" because you can get limitless amounts of sands/oil and be i110 without ever stepping into SCoB or having any skill. Back in 2.0/2.1 myth gear was equal in ilvl to the current raid gear and no one cared, so why the big deal now with hunts? I'm genuinely curious.
The first two are at 4k and 1080p, even with SLI the 4k is rough, I only get 30-40 fps
At 1440p the game stays around 100fps so its not much of an issue there.
So it looks great for screenshots. What about game play?
This is where it wasn't so pretty. Did a Stone Vigil HM with VSync off. It never dropped below 120 fps, but there were times during high graphic situations where the downsampling just couldn't keep up. Although the framerate was high, the animations would stutter greatly.
I tried putting on vertical sync to the 60 hz for my monitor and it was actually worse.
These were both in full screen windowed, as for some reason full screen causes scrolling black bars for me on my middle monitor. Once I get that figured out I'll come back and detail how it was in full screen.
As of now, I needed the card update as I want to get a 1440 monitor, and that seems the better choice than doing the DSR at least for FFXIV. Other games it may play nicer with, so I'll mess around with Skyrim and Watch Dogs this weekend.
