FFXIV won't load after windows 10 update

I have been logged in FFXIV all day because i chose to wait to upgrade to windows 10. After hearing most of my FC speak about the update and how it works perfect with FFXIV I decided to bite the bull.. Show More
I have been logged in FFXIV all day because i chose to wait to upgrade to windows 10.

After hearing most of my FC speak about the update and how it works perfect with FFXIV I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade. Now I can log into the launcher and click the green play button, the screen goes black like it normally does when loading the main screen then just shuts down, no errors, nothing. It won't start.

My GPU drivers are up to date and my DX is up to date.

Please can someone help me?

The thing is that I have the steam version of FF14 and I tried to use the code on both Mogstation and steam and neither worked.

Duty Finder Issues

I've been having issues with duty finder for months. My queues are abnormally long and this isn't just a DPS queue issue. I will consistently pick the role that is "Adventurer in Need" and the.. Show More
I've been having issues with duty finder for months. My queues are abnormally long and this isn't just a DPS queue issue. I will consistently pick the role that is "Adventurer in Need" and then proceed to wait an hr for a queue. This happens in all roulettes. And yes, that means I will queue as healer or tank and wait forever.



I don't queue normal dungeons by myself anymore since it means having to wait too long to make it worth it. I always have to ask a friend if they will go with me and make them party leader so we can get in because if I queue us it'll use my broken queueing and take an hr.



I remember one time I was trying to queue for WOD and made a complaint about my 140 min queue (I was queueing as DPS) and said "Oh we just need a dps!" So an FC mate queued up thinking to help me and he got in 3 min later while I was still sitting there no queue.



It happens all the time. Last night I tried doing guildhest roulette and it said adventurer in need healer so I was like great I can use AST. I mention after 8 min (5min avg queue) to my friend it's looking for DPS. They queue up, instant queue for them and I'm still standing there trying to get in 30 min later.



There has to be something wrong with my account as this happens no matter the class I play or the time of day I choose to play. Please can someone help me look into why I have such ridiculously long queue wait times?

it is time for me to create my own post here about this issue. I believe there are more members having experienced the same issue on PS4. The game sells at a much higher price than the PC version and I was, until last night, a strong believer of FF14 and square enix. But after reading so many threads stating that the technical support ignored members' problem for a whole week and only gave some really lousy so called solutions, I lost my enthusiasm. Just bought Heavensward but considering getting a refund and will not bother EVER EVER to pkay anything related to either Square Enix or FF, IF THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES TO BE IGNORED!

I'm having an annoying problem with my new Laptop, a Acer Asipre VN7-591 with a i5 and GTX 860M with win7

As you can see in the image below icons are very slow to load in the marketboard, my inventory in loot screens in dutys, basicly everywere. They can stay blank for as long as a few seconds before they load. This does not happen all the time, but often enough to be annoying.

Nothing else is slow, I have great fps mostly 60+ loading times moving to new areas are also no problem at all.

I would not be as annoyed if it not were for the fact that my old laptop, a Acer Aspire V3-571G with i5 and a GT 730M with win 7, had none of these problems, the fps was not great with this lap top with having 30 fps average on a good day.



I have the lastest drivers installed a fresh install of final fantasy. I have had the same settings on both laptops.

Is there anything I have missed? Are there any settings that can help here?

My friend is trying to come back to this game. However when he logs into the mog station it says "You square Enix account has already been cancelled please contact square enix support for details". Is it even possible to cancel your entire account? He just cancelled the sub. Also I'm not sure if this belongs here or in new player help. I apologize if this is the wrong area.

I'm very disappointed in Square Enix. They have the complete and total WORST support I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. After having the same issue with the DX11 client that a bulk of the PC community seems to be having for quite a while, I figured I'd contact support to see if they had any input due to their absolute lack of a voice on the forums.



So I sent them a brief ticket with an explanation of the crashes and the various fixes I had already attempted, as well as the AppCrash error from my event viewer listed below:

This is generally the same error tag that most people were getting, so I was hoping Square would be able to supply at least a little insight into the issue or what steps they may have taken to resolve it.



After 2 days (an additional day over how long it would take them to respond, but it could be a busy week so that's forgiven) I received this message as a reply:











Wait, what? European? I live in Canada, did Canada rejoin the British Colonies again without my knowing? Fairly certain we have been in North America for a while and our own country since 1867.



Confused, I went to my account page:











Look at that! An NA account! Guess I'm not a part of Europe after all.

I have no idea how Square got the idea that I had a European account from an AppCrash error and a description of the problem, but this cookie-cutter reply with absolutely no help is completely ridiculous.



Square, I love your games and I've been playing them for as long as I can remember. PLEASE do something about your support. There is absolutely no redeemable excuse for this quality of support.



We need replies from mods on the forums, we need announcements and updates about crash issues like this. We need information. We have no idea as players if you're even looking into the issues we're experiencing or doing anything to repair them.

For the past few days while playing the free trial I've been getting kicked offline every 15-20 minutes or so with no error message. Last night I got kicked offline literally 3 times in a row. I bought the game because I kind of liked this and that maybe the free trial was buggy. I decided I needed to do something so I tried to validate my Steam files, which resulted in the ENTIRE base name being re-downloaded. I slept it off, came back to reinstall the expansion via the launcher. I tried to re-download the expansion only to be prompted that the launcher was unable to check the version. Over and over and over and over and over again. I said screw it, uninstalled the base game altogether, re-downloaded it from scratch and the exact same things happened. I submitted what I thought was a ticket, since Square's customer support is confusing, with no confirmation e-mail that it was received. What the hell is going on?!

I've been having problems with my MSI R9 280X, which is showing graphical corruption from time to time and I don't find any alarm signs that can explain it (I.e. Temperatures and clock speeds are normal).

That's the video of my screen. I've already updated drivers and even flashed the BIOS (as per MSI support instruction since I was having other problems). However, this continues to happen on occasion, and it seems to only happen when playing FF14.



Any tips?
