So single target rotation is simple enough, long, but simple. The thing I can't figure out is what is the most efficient way to kill packs in 4 man content and adds? At what number of targets is AOE better, is it worth it to try to keep everything DoTed, that sort of thing. Currently I spread Phlebotomize whenever there are 2-3 enemies but I don't know if it's worth it over just focusing down one thing.
I saw the Why do you heal post, and while Ive been dabbling in healing, Black Mage will always have my heart.
Black Mages, why did you choose the darker arts?
EDIT: Personal Black mage motto: Set things on fire; forget to ask questions later.
My brothers and sisters, thank you for sharing. I have unlimited fire stacks on my heart for each and every one of you. If you're on Hyperion, hit me up and we'll burn Eorzea together.
I was curious about what BiS would look like for dragoons once the Judgment Ring of Slaying gets upgraded to i110 with this patch, so I played around with Ariyala's and crunched some numbers. At each level of accuracy, I compared a Judgment Ring BiS arrangement based on Ariyala's, to a current BiS based on Ariyala's, to the appropriate BiS listing provided in A Rotation Reborn (http://pastebin.com/SCE5v88k). My assumption was that the upgraded Judgment Ring of Slaying will have 18 str, 19 crit, and 9 det, although the gear sets should still be accurate even if those numbers turn out to be a little different come Tuesday. Finally, I based my accuracy ratings on this post--though I should point out that some of the information there is fairly anecdotal, so if I'm misrepresenting any of the caps, please let me know and I can recalculate for the appropriate turn(s).
It's worth observing that the High Allagan Ring of Slaying is still needed for some of these gear sets, so, while the Judgment Ring is going to be amazing, it doesn't totally replace the coil piece. Anyway, I hope that all you dragoons out there find this useful.
[EDIT: I updated the list to account for food, which I hadn't originally considered. Whenever Black Truffle Risotto is listed, it's safe to assume that Buttons in a Blanket is an acceptable low-cost alternative.]
