Syrcus Tower loot lockout in 2.4
Perhaps a bit of a speculation thread, but I wonder if anyone knows any confirmation on how Syrcus Tower will behave in 2.4. Obviously the third part of the Crystal Tower raid wont arrive until 2.5, and when it does I fully expect ST to work like the current Labyrinth - a 20% echo, and all loot is free for all with no limit on how much you can roll on.
I wonder though whether it will be like this in 2.4, or stay as it is now.
With soldiery being uncapped, it wont take long for players to hit a full i100 weathered set for every class they have at 50, and will no doubt be wanting full i110 where possible. Hunting for Logs was a perfectly good way of getting the 1 Sand or Oil per week you needed to unweather the single drop you could buy with the limited/capped soldiery... but it's an unreasonable amount of time hunting to get Oils/Sands to unweather alt classes gear in comparison.
What makes me a little nervous, almost, is that if ST loot is free for all in 2.4 then ST becomes absolutely the defacto way to gear up all alts by spamming it constantly for soldiery and everyone rolling on every oil, sand and UAT. I worry if the huge bulk of the playerbase will end up doing nothing but spamming ST all day every day (at least in 2.3 people stopped for the week when they got their loot!).
Mostly interested from a psychology/behaviour point of view. MMO communities tend to gravitate to the path of least resistance when gearing up. The fact that ST uncapped would allow full i110 gear in all slots AND an i110 weapon (I assume the only weapons in Patch 2.4 will be from Final Coil and Shiva Ex) makes me wonder if the player base will see it as Hunts Version 2.0 - a single place where they can get literally ever bit of gear they ever needed for all classes.
