So had a couple of rough dungen runs while tanking PLD last night. Am I doing something wrong?
Got myself a lvl 39 PLD and hit up the DR, joined up with a party in The Sunken Temple of Qarn. I let my party know that
/p i'm a little rough on tanking, so please bare with me. Thanks :)
I got sword oath up, flashing after ever rotation, attacking bees first, and just trying my damnest to keep agro and I can't.
So long dungen short, we wipe on the first boss, then push through. Wipe on the last boss because I run out of mp trying to keep the boss on to me. Provoking the block guys to the pads and such.
I ask for opinions, I ask what i'm doing wrong. One guy in the group says he's a PLD main. Ok, any advice? "Use Flash more"
Then, I tell my group that I can't keep agro that much, please watch your agro bars.
On our next attempt the boss fight runs PERFECTLY and we have no problems at all.
So i'm a little frustrated and flustered that I can't hold agro at this lvl. I also Main BRDi89 and the things I pay attention to most is MP on casters and that Agro meter below my name in the party window. To me that number stays at 2. Whoever the tank is stays at A. If i'm DPSing too much, I back off.
So my questions are, am I doing something wrong here? Am I not getting this right? Will shield oath alleviate these dungen pains i've been having. Are these dps just doing o much dps as they can and pulling agro off me at this level? /crys
Edit: Hey, thanks all for the positive support and tips. I'll get back to responses after work today. :)
